Doug
Roll, Physical Therapist/Orthopedic Specialist: Doug
is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association,
Mississippi Physical Therapy Association, and Orthopedic
Section and Private Practice Section of APTA. With his intensive
training in orthopedics and manual therapy he is a fellow
to the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Therapists,
one of the 220 in the United States. Locally, he is a member
of St. Alphonsus Church. He was a former board of directors
for the Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA, and the Ocean Springs
Rotary Club. Doug graduated from Ohio University with a degree
in physical therapy in 1989. He then entered and successfully
completed 18 months Orthopedic Manual Therapy Residency.
He is one of only 12 board certified Orthopedic Specialists
currently practicing in Mississippi. Doug is on faculty at
University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Physical
Therapy and Lectures around the country on topics dealing
with spine stabilization and strengthening exercises, and
use of manual techniques and exercise to improve mobility
and function.
Linda
Darphin, Physical Therapist: Linda attended the University
of Southern Mississippi for undergraduate studies before graduating
from the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a BS degree
in physical therapy. She then successfully completed an 18-month
orthopedic residency program with a specialization in Manual
and Manipulative Physical Therapy. She has pursued extensive
post graduate education primarily in orthopedic physical therapy.
Prior to moving to Ocean Springs, Linda was a partner/owner in
Baton Rouge Physical Therapy where she specialized in treating
and preventing work related injuries and served as a consultant
to medical professionals, businesses and industries throughout
the United States and Canada. As a leader in the physical therapy
profession, Linda has taught numerous continuing education seminars
for therapist, actively participated in research and has been
published in professional journals and scholarly texts. Linda
returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1999 where she is a
member of First Presbyterian Church and is active in the community
and schools with her husband and three children.
Dana Kopp, Office Manager/Marketing
Manager: Dana joined PTCOS as Office Manager in 2007. She will assist you in scheduling your appointments as well as verifying insurance and obtaining workers compensation precerts. She also serves as our Marketing Manager. She has been working in the field of medical office management since 1996. Dana is a lifelong resident of the coast. She graduated from D’Iberville High School in 1997 and attended MGCCC J.D. She is married and has 3 children. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, traveling, and boating.
Sade Picou, P.T. Aide: Sade assists the therapist in patient care. She has always had a passion for helping people, as well as exercise. Her position as P.T. Aide is a perfect fit. Sade grew up in Moss Point, MS. After graduating from Moss Point HS in 2004, Sade attended MS University for Women. She received a BS in Kinesiology-Exercise Science in 2008. Sade enjoys every sport imaginable and other outdoor activities. She attends Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Moss Point.
